standard email clients

what is it?

Many phones now come with an email program that enables you to email on the move. It's usually found alongside the other messaging programs like text.

If your phone has this feature your emails can be delivered straight to your mobile's inbox. Although functionality is not a good as BlackBerry® Internet solution, using one of these email programs is quicker than having to access your email through the internet on your phone. It's much like sending and receiving a text, and if your phone is capable, you can even add attachments. Also, your sign-in details are stored so there's no need to keep re-entering them.

All you need is a POP3 capable phone and an email account with POP3.

How to buy

There’s no need to buy anything, compatible phones will have the software already. Your user guide will have all the necessary details on how to setup your phone. You'll also need your email account details like username or mailbox, password, incoming server and port number.

Alternatively, take your phone into an Orange shop and speak to a Phone Trainer.

What does it cost?

This will be charged at normal data rates or you could buy a data add on bundle to reduce the cost of data per MB. See our mobile data plans for more information.

It's important to note that roaming charges are in addition to the monthly charges. Data usage abroad will be charged at the standard data roaming rates. There is a possibility that a charge could be triggered when the device automatically connects to the network while you are abroad.
